What sparked our interest:

Logistics and shipping services are well-known for being a male-dominated industry, despite many efforts that have been made to be more inclusive.

For this reason, the picture of five women doing a power-pose in front of two huge containers got my full attention. It is a fantastic example of how women can be a part of any industry and make an important statement.

What we love: 

After researching their social media accounts, I saw their new tagline called “The Z Factor,” which is described as “that special ingredient found inside all ZIMmers, no matter their role or title.”.

So, the picture of these women with “The Z Factor” containers alongside the acknowledgment of ship as a female made me realize that ZIM understands the importance of women’s representation in the shipping industry and uses its platforms to encourage them to be a part of their company and eliminate gender bias.

 

The 3 takeaways you should be doing today: 

  1. Promote gender equality; we all want to feel like we can be a part of any industry, whether men or women lead it.
  2. Celebrate women; we are now shattering the conventional male-dominated fields with new ideas, innovation, and strength to assume leadership roles in areas that were out of our reach a few years ago.
  3. Be relevant and inspire your audience.
